This follows on from being awarded the Bronze award.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h5><strong>So what does this mean?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Cobra has shown its&nbsp;commitment to supporting Forces veterans, reservists and cadet volunteers. We offer a&nbsp;guaranteed interview scheme for veterans (provided they hold the correct qualifications) and extra leave and support for reservists and cadet volunteers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Commenting on the announcement of the Employer Recognition Scheme Silver awards, Defence Secretary, Ben Wallace said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cThese awards recognise the outstanding support for our armed forces from employers across Britain and I would like to thank and congratulate each and every one.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cRegardless of size, location or sector, employing ex-forces personnel is good for business and this year we have doubled the number of awards in recognition of the fantastic support they give.\u201d&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister for Defence People and Veterans Johnny Mercer said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cVeterans make a huge contribution to businesses across the country and it\u2019s fantastic to see a record breaking number of organisations recognised for their support.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe\u2019re working closely with businesses to help them further understand the huge value that veterans, reservists and military spouses can bring to their organisation.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cobra will be presented the award by Her Majesty\u2019s Lord\u00a0Lieutenant of Hampshire in the National Museum of the Royal Navy in Portsmouth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cobra win Silver award from the Armed Forces Employer Recognition Scheme.
